New watches released
focusing on the major new watches released and launched from events like Watches & Wonders, brand anniversaries, and standout models from Rolex, Tudor, Zenith, Breguet, Vacheron Constantin, and others.
1. What are the most innovative or standout new watches released , and how do they push the boundaries of watchmaking?
The Rolex Land-Dweller
is super thin but still very strong, with a new movement inside that’s really accurate and resists magnets. Breguet made a very slim watch with a special tourbillon that keeps super-precise time. Zenith brought back a cool 1970s look but added their fast, modern movement. These watches impress because they’re thinner, tougher, more accurate, or mix old style with new technology.
2. Which brand had the strongest lineup of new releases in 2025, and why?
Tudor
had the best collection in 2025 They improved almost all their Black Bay watches (better bezels, nicer dials, new GMT functions), launched a very tough Pelagos Ultra that can go super deep underwater, and made several special limited editions. Rolex had some amazing single watches, but Tudor gave us more different types and prices, so it felt like they won the year.
3. Are the new watches released more focused on iterative improvements or bold, groundbreaking designs—and which approach should you prefer?
Most new watches in 2025 were small but smart improvements — better colors, nicer finishing, more comfortable fit (like Rolex’s updated everyday watches and GMTs, or Tudor’s cleaner Black Bay models). There were a few bold ones (Breguet’s special tourbillon, some wild Zenith and Grand Seiko pieces), but the main focus was making great watches even better.
I prefer the small improvements— they feel more real, more useful, and easier to wear every day. It’s better than just making crazy designs that look good only in pictures.
Audemars Piguet
launched 2026 with key new releases, headlined by the Neo Frame Jumping Hour—a modern jump-hour watch with automatic movement and Art Deco styling. These drops highlight AP's focus on blending innovative complications with refined, user-friendly designs.
Which of these new Audemars Piguet releases excites you the most—the bold Neo Frame Jumping Hour or the intricate openworked perpetual calendars?
I'd go with the Neo Frame Jumping Hour; it's a refreshing departure from the usual Royal Oak dominance and brings a fun, historic complication back in a contemporary way.
